Varner, John Head m w 24 wid Ark GA MO
(I know the oldest daughter, Rosa Lee, married a fellow named Jackson, they had a daughter, Alice. Rosa Lee died, later on, Alice died). I think this is a mistake about John Varner being a widower). John and his first wife (another Emma) had a daughter, Pearl(?). Emma died, and Pearl was given up for adoption. Later on, John married 2nd wife, Emma, and Pearl's adopted parents died, and Pearl was given back to John.
Emma Bell Harvison (here age 15) was my grandmother.
1920 Black Oak Census, District 28

(My mother told me about her nice gr-grandmother Throgmartin).
Here we have a middle initial, John H. Harvison, born in 1855 - so, do you think he was the son of Rufus?
