Last name probably Hartz, though may be Thomas. Possible brother or brother-in-law to Samuel B. Hartz or Irving Thomas Hartz. Unlikely, but possibly named Alfred Sherman Hartz, Samuel Henry Hartz, Victor Buckner Hartz, John Wilson Hartz, or Lee Roy Hartz. Had 2+ sisters who lived with him and wouldn't let him smoke cigars in the house. Story goes that he was outside smoking in the rain, caught pneumonia, and died. Sound like anyone you've heard about?
