Yes, there is a connection there. My grandfather Ernst had a brother Alfred and relatives in Cavalier ND. I can remember the story about a man who married one sister and when she died in a car crash, he married her sister. I think the sisters were Hartz girls. I have the newspaper clipping somewhere. Ernst was a minister and I think he was from Winnipeg. My mom was born in Minneapolis, MN. Alfred lived in Medford< oregon and was married to a woman named Elmira.
