Family in Arizona...need help

My name Is Charis Harty and I am 17 years old. My fathers name is Royce Harty and he is 37. He is trying to locate a Harty family member that his mother (Charis Harty) gave up for adoption. Does anyone know how we would go about trying to find her? She is the only other Harty, besides me, that we know of.
