Seeking info on Wm J HARTY, b 1823, reputedly South Carolina. Died 1900 in Savannah, GA; buried at Cathedral Cemetery with wife Mary E./Anna Ellen RYAN.
Children include: John, Marie, Margaret, Wm j jr, Joseph, Ellen/Nellie, and Genevieve, many of whom are also buried at Cathedral Cemetery.
Is Wm J. HARTY related to the HARTYS of Locust Grove, Taliaferro Co. (formerly Wilkes and Warren Cos), GA? If so, how are they related?
This family is very closely linked to Capt John FLANNERY of Savannah (born Co Tipperary, Ireland), the focus of my research. Capt John Flannery's wife, Mary Ellen NORTON, was a HARTY from Taliaferro, on her mother's side.
