I have a page worth of information on this Karl HARTWIG b. 24 March 1825 at New Friedland , died JUNE 1889. He married Caroline GOETHE, b. 12 Dec 1829 at New Gaul. They came to America and lived in Watertown, Wisconsin.
I have data on 7 of their children : Louise, Herman, Karl, Auguste, Anna, Caroline, and Gustav.

I am writing a book about my QUADE ancestors in Watertown, Wisconsin. Ferdinand HARTWIG, brother of Karl, married my great-great grandmother Dorothea OTTO BONNERS after her first husband John Bonners died. So I am half related to all of Ferdinand's children and my father knew all of them.
