Martha,

Is Jake Bradford Hartwick your line. I descend from Matthew through his first wife Malinda Cothran and through there son Ezekial Hartwick which was named after his grandfather Ezekial Cothran. I knew Matthew came to Van Buren County in the part that became Cleburne County in the late 1840's and moved to Faulkner County where he married his second wife Elizabeth Laney Gray and Laney being her maiden name. I didn't know he was in Pope County but knew his son Jacob was. I'm not for sure when or where Matthew first wife died or is buried Iknow that she died sometime after the Van Buren County 1860 census and 1865b when he married Elizabeth Gray. I would love to correspond with you through e-mail. By the way The Old Texas cemetary is indeed in Faulkner County. Ihave been there it is between the towns of Quitman and Guy.

Darren
