Ann Cossey Hartwick was shown on the 1860 Pope County, AR census living with her mother, Susan Cossey. Each woman was widowed with two sons. Both sets were John and William. The Cossey boys were 19 and 17. The Hartwick boys were 3-4. In 1880, William Hartwick is 23, single living with Ann in Pope County, AR on June 4. On June 9th, they are listed in Archey Valley Township,Van Buren County with her other son, John age 24, daughter? Mary age 30, two grandchildren, George W. and Nancy S. ages 5 and 1. In addition are Ann's sister's, Tempy Cossey Carter, 6 children from ages 19 to 4. My question: Who was Ann's husband, John and William Hartwick's father? Where and when did they marry? If Mary is Ann's daughter, why wasn't she on the 1860 census with Ann and the boys? Where did these particular John and William Hartwick lines go after 1880? Thanks for any and all information.
