Hi Jim, Thank you for the kind reply. I like to imagine "what it was really like", so as poor Abigail (Stearns) Hartwell died when Ephraim was 3 years old, he still had his grandmother, Sarah (Beers) Stearns, who lived nearby in Concord, to be with him for 15 years before she passed away. Sarah was our 8th great-grandmother through Abigail's brother. I'll look up the website!
