Abraham King who married Mary Dave and had one daughter that we know of named Margaret Jane King.Born in Canada and death in Soo Saint Marie, MI. on May 1, 1946. Who married a William Henry Hartwell. Who had the children of Uriel Hartwell, Andrew Hartwll, William Hartwell, Hattie Hartwell, James Hartwell, Nettie B. Hartwell (my grandmother), George Hartwell, Leonard Hartwell, Ruth Hartwell. Nettie B. Hartwell had two children named Elmer Charles Hartwell(my grandfather), and Anthony LaPlaunt. Elmer charles Hartwells father is unknown, but Anthony's is Frank LaPlaunt. Elmer was born on drummon Island to my knowledge. But has passed away in April of 1995.Which Elmer Charles Hartwell was married twice one to a Woman named Ruth and had a female child named Cathy Hartwell, latter was adopted and took the surname of McDermick. Only infomation on Cathy McDermick last known was a school in Westbranch, MI. Elmer then latter married a woman named Maxine DeLisle and had three children that I am told. Elmer Charles Hartwell JR. (my uncle), Penny Ann Hartwell Birthdate 09-02-1954(my mother) was born in Grayling,MI., Angie Faith LaPlaunt Birthdate 08-07-1966(my aunt). I have more infomation if any need this family history/roots. I also do know that William Henry Hartwell was German and Margaret Jane King/who also went by the names Maggie &Jennie king was mixed blood Chippewa Native American. To my knowlege from a copy of 1930 cen. I also have a copy of my grandfathers tribal membership card of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe in MI. His younger brother is a member as I speak along with his children. But he will not give out any family info.On the tribes website they have a genealogy (tribes website www.sootribe.org) with a woman listed as help: her name Shauna St. Germaine but I called her and she remembers my grandfather and his younger brother, they were neighbors she said. But got very little infomation from her. On the tribes website she is listed for these surenames:
Hartwll
King
Shampine
St. Germain(e)

There is also a set of lost twins in my family history due to their mother passing away and father unable to care for them and the state took all the children away.

The twins brothers and sisters have been looking for them for years.

If you need info or can help me in anyway email me at
