Below are two messages from others searching our your Sarah. I hope this will add some info for your files.

Sarah Magoon was born I don't know, she was married to John Vinsonhaler on July 27, 1820 in Highland County, OHIO, they then divorced, I don't know when. Sarah died sometime after 1868. I have a letter she wrote in September 18, 1865 to Mrs. Vinsonhaler, briefly it said this; Sarah talks of a Son named Charles who died April 5, she took his body to New Orleans and deposited in her family tomb. Sarah had a step son named Dr. Nathan Burnham who got Dongue Fever when they were on their trip to and he died on May 27 in New Orleans, LA. She starts telling about the trip she is leaving for Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and South America. That is an extract from the letter. Sarah Magoon was married to a HARTT also. Sarah Magoon and John Vinsonhaler had one son together his name was James Cramer Vinsonhaler, he was born November 21, 1821 in Adams County, Ohio and died in April 14, 1904 in Smith County, Kansas. I also have a letter Sarah wrote and her last name at that time was BRACKENRIDGE. I have another letter of her living in ST. Louis, MO. Sarah Magoon had a brother named Hiram Magoon.

She was a doctor in the Civil War and married the first time to a John Vinsonhaler and then was married 3 more times after that, to a Hartt, Burnham and then Brackenridge. I have been trying to locate where she died. She was in Mariposa, California in 1870 visiting Hiram K. Magoon, her brother's family. After that we lost track of her. I would like to know about her father and the names of the direct lines from her father to Henry Magoon who was in New Hampshire in the 1650's. If you think you have any info, please email me.

I have more info on this Magoon family line should you want it. My e-mail address is
