In reply to posting by Calvin Johnson on Thomas Hartwell, he was a decendant of John Hartwell of Tazewell Co.,Va. Thomas, b.4 Apr 1884, d.2 Aug 1972, m. 24 May 1903, Bertha Mallory, d/o John and Cornelia (Hall) Mallory. While researching my husbands family, William Williams, I did some history on the Hartwells. He decended from John, Andrew, James and then Thomas.
