The information I have on George Wesley Hartsock (I don't have the spelling as Hartsuck, but that doesn't mean anything) is that he was the son of Rev. George Daniels and Abigail (Jackson) Hartsock, born in 1853 and died in 1952. He is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Kandallville, Indiana. He married Lydia E. Ritter first on 30 Mar 1875 in Constantine,Michigan and after her death in 1884 married Agnes Isabelle Ritter on 27 Oct 1886 in Kendallville. George W. and Agnes had 2 sons, Bruce and Paul.
Rev. George Daniels Hartsock was born on 23 Feb 1815 in Fairfield County, Ohio and died on 22 Aug 1897 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Abigail was the daughter of Daniel Jackson and his wife whose last name was Hathaway. She was born on 10 Oct 1822 and died on 16 Sep 1889 and was buried with her husband in Lakeview Cemetery. They had 7 children. George was a lawyer and minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
George Daniels was the son of Peter and Elizabeth (Daniels) Hartsock. Peter was born in 1785 and died in 1861. Elizbaeth died in 1827 in Franklin County, Ohio. Peter and Elizabeth had 6 children. I show that Peter had three wives. His 2nd wife was Mary Ball by whom he had 5 children. Two of those sons used the name Hartsuck. His 3rd wife was possibly Esther Lamar by whom he had 7 children. The last wife may be the spouse of another Peter Hartsock.
Peter's parents were Peter and Catherine (Lea) Hartsock. That Peter was born in 1761 either in Pennsylvania or Maryland.
His grandparents were Peter and Sarah (unknown last name) Hartsock / Hertzog. This Pater was baptised at the 1st Reformed Church in Raritan (now Somerville), New Jersey.
His great grandparents were Peter and Anna Margaretha (Kuntz) Hertzog. Peter was born around 1700 and Anna Margaretha was born in 1712.
His 2nd great grandparents (the Peter who was married to Elizabeth Daniels) were probably Englebert and Anna Catharine (last name unknown) Herzog who were born in the Rhenish Palatine in Germany, around the 1680s.
I have more information and am willing to share it. Would very much like to have more information of George Wesley, George Daniels and their families.
