Hartsook Family Genealogy Forum

I just happened on your message from November. My Father spent some time researching the Hartoughs in NJ and NY i the 1940's and I also spent some time in the 1970's researching the Hartoughs and all their descendants. Unfortunately most of this information is in the form of handwritten notes so I can't pass it on very readily. I can tell you that Anglebert Hartough (b. 7/13/1753, d 12/15/1812) married Anne Gulick (b 6/20/1762, d. 9/24/1820) on 3/6/1779. Anna, of whom you inquired, was the sixth of 12 children and was born 12/29/1789, died August 14th 1874. She and her husband (I believe he was also her cousin), Cornelius Cornel Gulick, moved to Sherman NY and had nine chldren, the oldest of whom was Anglebert Hartough Gulick. The first Anglebert's parents were Handrick Hartough and Anna Maria Kleckenaar and Anne Gulick's parents were Jochem Gulick and Cornelia Van Derberg. Some of this information was from the Hartough Family Bible of that period and some was from a Gulick Family History that I found in the Newark NJ Historical Society. I traced most Cornelius's and Anna's descendants for a couple of generations but the lost most of them as they migrated west. If you have any specific questions, let me know and I will try to answer them.
