Hi Mary - yes, there is a connection. James H. Muse was the son of Rev. John Muse & Rachel Hartsfield. Rachel was the daughter of the ANDREW who made his will in 1822.
Mary G, Evaline & Martha Hartsfield were the daughters of the ANDREW who moved to Bedford Co TN. He was born before 1780 & died by 1844, probably in Bedford Co. So Mary G & Evaline were the neices of Rachel Hartsfield.
From the deeds I have, James H Muse married Mary G before 1843; married Evaline before 15 Jun 1844. Evaline died by 12 Nov 1848, for on that date James H married 3rd, Mahala Jordan.
The Muses had a propensity for marrying their cousins, and James H would have been a 1st cousin to Mary G & Evaline.
