Eric, thank you so much for this extremely well-researched and detailed information. Sarah Allen Hartsfield, the youngest daughter of James and Nancy Olive Hartsfield, was my great-grandmother. I have a photograph of her as an elderly lady and would be happy to email it to you if you are interested in seeing it. Another bit of information that may be of interest to you: While researching the properties owned by Godfrey Hartsfield and the two John Walkers (Katherine Walker's father and brother), I have located the property which was given by John Walker the Elder to Godfrey and Katherine, then deeded to John Walker the Younger and later sold to Samuel Burrough. It is located near the south branch of the Pennsauken Creek here in Camden County (formerly part of Gloucester Co.). There is a very old house on the property which is now owned by the Pennsauken Historical Society. Here is the URL for the National Register of Historic Sites information on the property: http://lcweb2.loc.gov/pp/hhhtml/hhTitles59.html Click on "Burrough-Dover House" and then click on the data pages, supplemental information, drawings, or photographs. This information states that both parts of the house probably date from the mid- to late-17th century, but the history book "The Pennsauken Story" dates the house to 1710, which would be right around the time when Godfrey and Katherine were living on the property.
