Eric, Neither Thomas nor Sion left a will. There is a record in the Wake Co Court Minutes of Sion being given administration of Mary Smith's estate (1795). There is also a record of Sion being the administrator of the sale of Thomas' estate (1797). Thomas received a Lord Granville land grant in Johnston Co in 1763. Sion Smith was a Rev War soldier and his second wife, Sarah Jane Page, received a Rev War Widow's Pension. Sion was supposed to have died about 1832/33. The widow's pension will probably have some info about his death. Sion's oldest son, William F. Smith, was the administrator of Mary Riley Hartsfield's estate in 1854. But, he died in 1855 (no will). William F. Smith md. Rachel Olive; John Hartsfield, Jr, md. Gilley Olive. There are other marriages among the Smiths, Olives, Hartsfields and Pages in Wake Co. Of course, at that time you married someone you had known for a number of years. Sion's first wife was an Elizabeth Owen/s who died in Wake Co in 1822. Notify Administrator about this message?
