Aaron H Hartsell was born 12-15-1861 in Stanfield, NC married approx. 1888/1889 to ??????. My grandmother - Nann/Nanny Hartsell was born 12-25-1889/1890 (she never would tell her age.) Sometime thereafter, Aaron H Hartsell traveled to Holiday Texas bought 125 acres of land and died there, 12-06-1894. My great grandmother died shortly after marrying and giving birth. My grandmother lived with relatives, I assume till she was old enough to work as a servant for Ezekiel Morgan and his wife Elizabeth.(my grandmother raised me). we never knew my greatmothers' maiden name, I think I was told her maiden name was Williams, but not sure. Also we were told that she was buried in an unmarked grave at LovesGrove/Chapel Church in Stanfield, NC.
My grandmother died in 1956 and my mother died in 2003. So my connections to the past are deceased. Would appreciate any information anyone has regarding any name or reference to my great grandmother. I am coming to NC last of September and hope to search some more info in Albemarle, NC, too.
