Looking for Hartnetts from Galveston, Texas

Hello, all. I am looking for information and any possible links to a Hartnett family that immigrated to Galveston, TX, in the late 1800's. David James Hartnett came from Ireland to New York and then to Galveston in the 1880's. Not sure when, but he married Elizabeth Donovan (also from Ireland) and had three children, Mary Beatrice (b. 1893), David James (b. 1895), and Johanna Lillian (b. 1896). I believe that Mary Beatrice may have died in infancy, and I know that David James Jr. died before his second birthday. Elizabeth died sometime between 1897 and 1901, and then David married a woman named Nora or Norah in 1901 in Galveston, but I don't know her last name.

David and Nora Hartnett had several children together... Edmond J., Nora May, William F., and Michael. I have no further info on any of them, except a few dates.

Johanna Lillian Hartnett was my great-grandmother. She married Drausin Cuthbert Davenport in Galveston in 1917, and they had two children, Frances Elizabeth (b. 1918) and Drausin David (b. 1922), both in Florida. However, Johanna shows up on the 1920 census record as living in the home of her father and stepmother, but this can't be accurate. She was married and already had a child in Florida by that time. I AM SO CONFUSED!! I am almost 100% sure that I have the correct family on the census, but the information just doesn't match up.

If any of these names sound familiar and you can shed some light on the Hartnett family mentioned here, I would greatly appreciate it. You can contact me directly at Thank you!
