Tim, I most certainly would like to exchange Hartley family history with you. Unfortunately I'm not sure which county my Hartley's were actually born in - They were at Butler county in the 1860s. I have found some vague family references however to both Miami & Montgomery counties also. Two siblings appear orphaned, that being George (had middle initial "W" and we believe it is for Walter but so far is uncertain) Hartley born 1842 his only certain sibling is Martha Jane Hartley born 1846- she married George Henry SHERER in 1865 at Butler County. Then there are 3 others who may also have been orphaned (BTW, I'm only assuming orphaned for all these 5, but that is not proven either) - Orlando 1837, Esther or Hester Ann 1839, Lewis Clarkson Hartley 1844. There is also a Charlotte, William & John Hartley, all born about 1806 whom I believe may have been parents, grandparents or Uncles/Aunt. Not much to go on here is there?.. Thanks, Allan Griffith, Bloomington, Illinois - magrif@verizon.net
