Hello Allan -

I, also, am researching the Hartleys of Miami County, Ohio. My group left today's West Virginia and arrived in Ohio in 1849. Several of my group were orphaned upon the death of their parents in WV around the year 1841. I have not been able to figure out who their parents were...so far.

One of the eight Hartleys that arrived in Ohio was Louise (Hartley) Athy, married to John Wilson Athy. They were married in Allegany, MD.

Before I go further into this, I want to be sure that you are still in contact with this site. If so, we'll communicate more.
