Hi Hartley Family
There's a distinct shortage of test results re: HARTLEY male lineage Y-DNA
There are results on the Internet indicating NO common lineage for HARTLEYs, ie, we are NOT all related to one another. However, the more HARTLEYs who have a Y-DNA test, the more chance there is of finding a common HARTLEY ancestor. So far just a handful have posted results.
Those who are interested in getting tested could look at: www.familytreedna.com or any other online organisation.
Finding common ancestors through DNA testing is a very useful way of knowing where you came from, of breaking down brick walls and confirming paper research.
