Dear Ms. Botts,
Thank you for responding to my query about George Hartley. Do you know if any of these people ever lived in Stafford County, Virginia? None of the names are familiar to me. I'm a historian here in Stafford and, to the best of my knowledge, am not related to the Hartleys. One of my current projects involves compiling the county's militia records and identifying as many of the men as possible. Hartley is not a name common to early Stafford, so I know nothing about this man.
