I am the granddaughter of Lawrence William King of Wythe Co. who wrote many family history books. I have some copies of his book entitled BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAIN KINFOLKS, which includes a chapter on the Hartley family who immigrated from Halifax to the Wytheville, VA area.
