I am attempting to follow Hamilton Hartley born in Kentucky abt 1828. I have where he was married to Sarah Jane White 24 Jul 1851 in Navarro Co., TX. He went off to the Civil war and after that the only thing noted in my grandfathers family bible was that he died in the Civil War. I now find where he may have been a POW in Louisiana and paroled in Morehouse Co., LA. In 1870, of Izard Co., AR, I find a Hamilton Hartley born in Kentucky 1828 but married to a Francis born abt 1842 in Louisiana and the father of 2 male children also born in Louisiana.
Is anyone else researching this family?
