My wife's Hartley line has roots in Montgomery & Butler Counties. I would very much like to communicate with all of those responding to this note about materials found from on your Hartley lines. My earliest Hartley's seem to have been orphaned as small children, probably before 1850. Siblings, George W. HARTLEY, born 1842 & Martha HARTLEY, born 1845, moved from Ohio with spouses to Illinois in the late 1860s & early 1870s. I believe a William Hartley may be an Uncle, but probably not a parent. Appreciate hearing more about the contents of your genealogy materials on your Hartley family to see if mine are mentioned or someone has any ideas if mine connect to that line. - Thank you, Allan Griffith, Bloomington, Illinois - magrif@verizon.net
