Thanks for the follow up. I think the relationship is perhaps more complicated though. John Hartigan was born in Limerick and he was married to Ellen Kane. John and Ellen moved to London and their children came to the US. John died in London and Ellen later came to the US and was buried in Wabasha. I have not been able to find any other info on her. John and Ellen only had 4 children - James Patrick Ann and Margaret. So I am sure that Elizabeth and Patrick were not brother and sister. But since they settled so close you have to believe there is some relation there either through Sullivan, Hartigan or Kane.
