Do you know what, if any, connection James Hartigan might have to Thomas Hartigan, born June 1854 in Norwich, New London, Connecticut, who married there about 1880 to a lady named Margaret, and they had one child Thomas Edward Hartigan in 1882 before moving to Providence, Rhode Island. Thomas Sr. was also a coachman. He was the son of Mary, born 1830 in Ireland; his father is unknown, and apparently dead by 1860.
