I found a Patrick Hartigan, wife Julia and children Michael, John J.and Patrick as family number 6 on the 1865 Minnesota State Census for Wabasha County. William Sullivan, wife Eliza(Hartigan) and daughter Ellen as family number 4 on the same Census. Ellen Hartigan, son James and daughter Ellen J. are number 7. They are all in Highland Township.
In the 1875 MN State Census for Wabasha Co., Highland Township, Family number 104 is William Sullivan age 37, ELiza age 25 and four children; Family number 124 is Pat Hartigan age 35, his wife Julia age 35 and 6 children. It seems to me that they are probably related and may have come to the US on the same ship. Ted
