Samuel Harter-Andreas Harter link

I've just recently become interested in following further down my Harter side of the family and I was shocked to see so much already out there. My family tree apparently goes all the way back to Andreas Harter (b. circa 1698 in Germany). Now, unfortunately some of the data doesn't add up. The family tree that leads up to me says that I come from Andreas Harter, Andrew Harter, Jacob Harter, Samuel Harter, Enoch Harter, Jesse Fremont Harter, Vivian Cadwallader Harter (my great grandfather).

The problem is Samuel Harter. In most of the trees that include him, it says he was born in 1805 and died in 1825. In the family tree that leads up to me, he kept having children until 1849. Can anyone help me on this? Do I have my lineage back to Andreas Harter, or did someone make a mistake investigating my lineage. If you want more info (dates, places, etc.), just ask.
