I am trying to find a link between Thomas Sanders Hart and the Carpenter family. Thomas Sanders Hart was living in Forest Hill, south London at the time of the 1911 census. He sold a relic of Captain James Cook the next year and in a letter of authentication claimed his grandmothere had been a Jane Carpenter, sister of John Carpenter. He also mentioned the religious identity, Johanna Southcott, who operated in London about 1805. An Elias Carpenter, who lived at Grove Place, Kennington Green, London and died in 1840. was a supporter of Southcott.I can't find a link betwwen Elias and the other Carpenters nor a link between Harts and Carpenters. Thomas Sanders was born in Ceylon about 1852 apparently. Many thanks.
