The internet isn't getting any better either. There are family tree sites that use what they call "smart matches" to link people with similar names and birth dates. I have been dealing with what I call "Ancestry theft" for months now because people have put my ancestors in their trees solely based upon those mismatches. Even though I offer to send them copies of birth and wedding certificates to prove my claims they will not fix their trees. It can be very discouraging.
