Wow! Thank you so very much. That helped immensely. I had prepared substantial docs for SAR and DSDI applications, but it appears that was chasing a dead horse so to speak. However, it appears that I might qualify for SAR membership, as it appears that a Capt. John Hart (father of William Hart), his father George Hart, and his father Col. John Hart served as qualifying American patriots in New Hampshire, based on my further research.
My Grandmother (Mary Ethel Hart b. 10 Mar 1896, d. Sep 1972) wrote the family tree in her Bible, and cites that John Hart (SDI) as her 3rd Great Grandfather. Assuming my grandmother’s other writings are correct, there is no doubt that Gideon Randall Hart was her grandfather, and that a William & Hannah (Randel) Hart were Gideon’s parents.
I have subscribed to Ancestry.com, and have found the tree you have cited, and have started my own tree. I have contacted the “other Hart” tree-maker.
