Hello Thomas
Am a descendant of an Alexander Hart, through his daughter Margaret who married George Cook in Colrain MA circa 1848. Sounds like the same guy. Have you seen the chapter on the Peter Rhine Hart Family in Genealogical History of Samuell Hart... , comp., arranged and published by James M. Hart, 1903. One of Peter Rhine Hart's daughters Betsey married Alexander Hart. Seven children are listed, but no Edward. Also Leading Citizens of Franklin Co. MA (Biographical Review Publishing Co. 1895) has a bio of Andrew Jackson Hart, son of Alexander and Betsey Hart, that says Alexander first settled in Cambridge NY where his uncle, whose name was Klein, resided. That's all I have on Alexander Hart, who seems to disappear. Oh, one thing more, Hart Genealogy book has his daughter Margaret Hart Cook quoted, he had a sister Margaret in Scotland. Is this your Alexander Hart.
Jim Carroll
