Making A Contribution through FindAGrave (Time & Information)

I startedg using this website about six months ago. As with anything concerning genealogy it can become very addicting! It provides a lot of information for ones research. Anyone who is doing research and has not yet gone to the cemetery to document information you are missing out on a very important part of the documentation process. If all of the serious researchers documeted all of the small church cemeteries in ones area it would provide a lot of needed information. Especially those small secluded forgotten cemeteries. If one hasn't yet visted WWW.FindAGrave.com there could already be a lot info there from others efforts. I would make this suggestion, go the cemetery don't just add info from a book. The easiest way to bring the info home from each heastone is to take a digital photo. One of the graves that I have added:

I hope everyone finds this helpful, especially those who didn't know about the website.

James S. Harry
