My 2nd g'gfather was David Reed, born 23 Mar 1804 in Clark County, Indiana to William and Sarah (Combs) Reed. David married Mary Harrod m, 08 Apr 1830 in Clark County Indiana. Mary died 03 Dec 1844. I am guessing her birth as around 1807. They had 4 children born on a farm that is now part of Henryville, Clark County, Indiana, (children) William Harrod Reed, b.23 Nov 1832, Mary Jane Reed, b.29 Dec 1834, James Harrod Reed, b.12 May 1837, David Newton Reed b.07 Mar 1841
From what I gather, Mary Harrod's parents were Samuel Harrod and Sarah (unknown)
I found a mention of Mary Harrod marrying David Reed in a
Minutes of the 11th annual meeting of the
Silver Creek Cemetery Association in 1886,
published in the National Democrat newspaper in Jeffersonville, Indianaon May 21, 1886

Samuel Harrod was the father of Henry Harrod and Squire William Harrod. His daughters were Sarah, Katie and Mary. The first was the first wife of Lewis Bottorff, a second married George Taft,and a third David Reed. Mr. Samuel Harrod, his wife, his son Henry, ex-clerkof the county, and many of the grandchildren are buried here.
Any information on Mary or her ancestoral line would be very much appreciated.
