Very good work.

There are several things that point to the Adam harrison of Ithaca not being the Adam Harrison who lived in Smithville from 1828 until he left.

My Adam Harrison would have immigrated not in 1846 as the passenger list you found says, but in 1828. My Adam was not English-born the way Adam of Ithaca was in 1850, 1860, and 1870, but Irish. Had he lived in the United States since 1828 he would not have gone back to Europe to pick up a bride and had time to have a six-year old child born in Europe. The two men named Adam harrison were born about five years apart. There is too much to bend to make these two Adamses be the same man.

Bummer.

Thank you for your work on Adam Harrison.

Polly Lynn
