I am seeking information on Arthur Harrison, no middle name is known. Born Apr 20 1886, died Jun 5 1949. We were told that Arthur father told him that he was born in Rhode Island while his family was visiting here from England. Arthur married Corinne Peddy, belived to be his 2nd wife)Nov 11,1929. she was born abt 1897 in Georgia. Her parents were William A Peddy and Nancy A Harrison of Washington County, Georgia. Nancy's mother was Mary Frances Harrison b. abt 1837. Arthur was 46 yoa when he married Corinne Peddy. He may have had a previous wife and family. Just don't know.
On August 9, 1929 Arthur Harrison was ordained into the Baptist Ministery at Calvary Baptist Church, Gilchrist Park, Ga. Arthur was also a pastor of First Baptist Church in Kingsland, Georgia in the late 20's or early 30's. He also pastored in Hahiara, Ga. and Pembroke Ga. There was also a church in Hilliard,Florida, where he was living when he died in Waycross, Georgia
Arthur told his only child that we know of that he traveled around the world and attended Oxford University & Queens College. Arthur said he had an aunt that was quiet wealthy and when she died she left mega bucks to he cat in England. We do not know if these stories are true or not.
We do know that he was a member of the Masonic lodge in Hilliard, Florida, Lodge # 28.
Can soneone, anyone help me with this person and any information on him, or how can I find aout any information on him.
Thanking you in advance for your help.
