Sherrod and his brother William Harris (mar Frances Goode)
were involved in a law suit in 1763 in Goochland filed by Alexander Baine, and John Page, father-in-law of Sherrod entered the suit to try and settle it. Sherrod always used the spelling Sherrod instead of Sherwood, even his will signed 23 Aug 1805 and filed for probate in October 1805 in Anson county, North Carolina, which names all of his children
and wife Elizabeth.
