Samuel Harris - New Zealand

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for information about Sgt Samuel Harris who came to NZ in the 1860's to fight in the NZ Wars after spending time in Calcutta. His name is engraved on the archway of All Saints Church in Howick, Auckland. I believe he later settled in Kyeburn, Otago and married Martha Quinton.

If anyone has any information I would be extremely grateful, I've had very little luck so far.
