I've looked at Ruebin Harris, born 1820 SC, listed in Franklin County 1850 census, many times (wife Jane born 1822 SC). Two households away is Fountain Jordan and his wife Caroline Harris, born 1820 Georgia. Household in between is Fountain's father, James Jordan. I think there is a connection between Caroline Harris Jordan and Reubin Harris. Caroline Harris is my gggrandmother and is my brick wall at present.

Rubin Harris is also listed in 1870 Hart County, GA as born 1821 SC with wife Sarah born 1840 SC. I can't find this family in 1860 Hart/Franklin County, GA.
