(a) John Elmer East md. Sarah Catherine Yoder, Columbia Co., PA, on or about 24 Dec 1890. I suspect that this was son of John and Mary East and brother of your direct ancestor, William M.
(b) William M. East md. Carrie A. Wright, Columbia Co., PA, on or about 3 March 1892.
Based on the latter marriage record, I believe that your Carrie A. was not only a Wright (and not a Harris), but also that she was the Caroline A. Wright in the following 1880 Household:

Check Philadelph Passenger Lists to see if there's info on which ship John East and brothers, Thomas and Robert, came over on. These lists may be available in a LDS (Mormon) Family History Center near you.
