I have a Charles David Herrington b.03 Apr 1819, d.1906, m. Emily Lucreatia Lindsley. The census records show Charles' mother was born in NY, but his father in RI.
There was a RI Harrington who settled in "Little Utica" (Lysander)in 1818.His name wasCarmi Harrington b. 9 Oct 1793 at West Greenwich, RI, m. Mary Spencer.
I have not connected them, but he would have come to NY at the age of 18, which could account for marrying a NY girl.Carmi was the son of Job Harrington of the RI line. The 1820 Census shows Carmi had a Boy in the first column (can't recall the age group, but it is the youngest).
Charles David Herrington had a daughter, Ellen Emily Herrington b. 19 Jan 1860, d. 05 Mar 1931, m. Charles Weed Dickinson.Charles David Herrington, Emily Lucreatia Lidsley, Ellen Emily Herrington, and Charles Weed Dickinson are all buried in Ira Union Cemetery, White Cemetery Road, Cayuga County, NY.
