Cheryl:My maiden name is Harrington. My ggrandmother was Elsie DeWolfe Harrington and we had family (De Wolfe and Harrington) living in Halifax, Wolfeville, Kentville and Starr's Point.I remember my granmother talkiing about Cornwallis as well.I know that the Harringtons came from England when Queen Elizabeth 1 awarded Thomas Harrington land in Virginia in the early 1700's.The family moved up the eastern seaboard ending up in Nova Scotia.
My grandfather moved to Toronto and became a minister in the 1920's and we have all remained in Ontario.I will get further details from my father as it is possible there is a link here.
