This James Harriman was the son of Joseph and Lydia (Stearns) Harriman and a descendant of the New England Harrimans. James married Elizabeth Blood and had one known child, Eliza, who married Edward Doughty in 1888. James lived in Otter Creek Twp., Wisc., and died in 1926. Based on census studies, it does not appear that James and Elizabeth Harriman had any other children.
