Hi Patricia;
It is odd to get a response from such an old post. I am not sure how much help I can be but will try. My 3rd great grandfather, Woodruff Beals, married Lucretia Harriman in 1855 in Fountain Co., IN. She was his second wife and nearly 20 years younger. Since I descend from children by the first wife I have not done as much research on the Harrimans. After your inquiry I looked at my records and found some interesting notes. I did a lot of work on the Beaver/Bever family some years ago because Woodruff's oldest child Samantha married a Jeremiah Bever and then dissappeared from the records. I have a lot of information on that family but was never able to connect Jeremiah to the main line of Bevers in IN. I know that the Beals', Bevers, Harrimans, Harpers and several other families were all living in the area and intermarried.
In my notes I have a memo written to myself that says "Lucretia is probably a sister to Betsey who married Jacob Bever. So, while I have nothing substantial to give you I am sure we are talking about the same families.
Lynn Olson who contributed to my research says that Lucretiawas the daughter of Levit Harriman and Nancy(?). Levit was the son of Moses and Lucretia(?). That is about all I have on that family.
Let me know if you can shed any light on the Harriman/Beals/Beaver families.
