Hey Velma--nice to meet you
history of cabin creek -the 1st settler Kelly died,a year later came actual settlers are j. Hansford,w.Pryor, g. Hansford, s.Harriman,W & L morris.
from a story by Aluah Hansford-going west 1st house is John Harriman a log house,on the east bank near where William Pryor lives ,next was milbure then James Pryor not far from the Bucks house.
on the kanawha co. 1792 tax list we have Thomas Harriman,Shadrick and Herry Harriman,Abner & Allan & Willam Pryor.and the good morris family, Yes they are fascinating !

Who was John Pryor ? him and Phil Harmon where scouts in 1778.

Yes I did know about Shardach Morris Harriman being a Baptist minister-i have the story about the family bible being lost and found and how it was published.
the picture of him, looks so much like my harriman's.
and i list of all his kids, they moved to MO.

you are more than welcome to write me at okliechild@aol.com
I would love to get deeper in the search with you.
Thanks, J.
