Harrimans of Groveland/Haverhill MA
Hi,
My Harriman branch is from Groveland MA, via Paul J Harriman Jr (b. 1923 d. 1982), Paul J. Harriman (b 1898 d. Haverhill), Louis Harriman (d. 1941, m. Henrietta Jones), Moses Harriman (d. 1913?), Samuel Harriman (d. 1865?)
pretty sure we're from Leonard, I have a pewter plate passed down with initials "IH" on it. My aunt has a family tree that my great aunt (Katherine Harriman Welts) did, but I have not had access to it for years and I suspect better research has been done anyway. I'd love to hear from descendants of Moses or Samuel.
One of the heirlooms I have (now in storage) is a Tower Musket - family lore says it was Capt.David Harriman's (whose grave I visited in Groveland Cemetary), it dates correctly and has a flintlock to cap conversion which is appropriate for a working musket in the early 1800s but it would be good to verify.
I am now expatriated to the United Kingdom - would certainly like to find out more about Harrimans on this side as well.
