Hello,
Just recently, I learned that my great great grandmother was Bridget Harrigan, born in Ireland but came to Canada (not sure when) and then met and married my gggrandfather Peter Ladouceur who was born in France. We believe she had a sister who settled in the States, maybe NY or Boston.

I have viewed the 1881, 1891, 1901, and 1911 Census's and it shows her with Peter and their children, all born in QC. They later moved to Pembroke, Ontario.
I have also seen documents of Bridget with differing birth years. 1835, 1839 and 1840, so I am not sure exactly what year she was born.

The 1851 NB Census shows a Bridget Harrigan, age 11 (parents: John & Ellen Harrigan...John being the brother of Dennis Harrigan who is the gggrandfather of Bing Crosby). Years ago, I was told we were related to Bing.

Since the birth year is extremely close to my gggrandmother; I thought this might be her. However, this particular Bridget's place of birth is: Born Col
Does anyone know what what this means? Born in NB? Is so, she can't be my gggrandmother, since she was born in Ireland; unless a mistake was made.

If anyone has any information, I would love to hear from you. Thanks
