Hello all,
I am related to the Harries family of Narberth. My GtX4 Grandfather was George Harries born c1792 possibly Llawhadon which is nearby to Narberth, he was a Currier of Sheep Street in Narberth he died in 1850 in Narberth. He was married to Anne Davies Llewellyn and had 13 Children between 1824 and 1850.
One of those Children was Charles Harries a Sadler who was born in Narberth c1834. He married his families servant, Margaret Davies (also of Narberth) in Clifton, Bristol in 1859, and there they stayed for 11 years. They had three sons that i know for definate in the Bristol area, John Edward Harries born Dec Qtr 1859, George Henry Harries born Jun Qtr 1861 and finally my Gt Gt Grandfather Edward Harries born in 1870. In 1871, Charles and Margaret took there three sons back to Narberth and it is in Narberth that Margaret died in the Jun Qtr of 1873. Charles would remarry in the Dec Qtr of 1875 to another Margaret and they had a further 7 Children in Narberth who were as follows: Mary Ann b c1876, William E b c1877, Elizabeth (Sarah) b c1879, Martha F born c1880, Florence Margaret b c1881, Frank A born c1888 and finally Gwendoline born c1897.
